The internet is a great way for us to share our interests. Mine are far reaching, but, I have always had a special love affair with vintage textiles. You will see this theme through out this site. 

I was a dressmaker for 40 years, always collecting vintage patterns, buttons, trims, laces, clothing, and fabrics. This collecting soon became a business, having the need to make room for MORE, MORE, MORE ! I retired from my dressmaking business and closed my shop in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey in 1993. My husband, Jay, and I have since retired to Litchfield, Maine, but I still can't seem to get myself to stop sewing. This website has been a great place for me to share what I am up to NOW....and then.

Since retiring to Maine, how can you not join in with the multitude of talented artisans that we have the privilege of meeting. Their enthusiasm is certainly catching. 

I have always enjoying making special hats for myself, friends, family, and clients. Now I can concentrate on doing just that. I am having a great time making ONE OF A KIND hats from..... what else???.....VINTAGE FABRICS !!
